ABOUT LAVOS Enclosure
Lavos was never meant to be just another tent at the Royal–Thomian. It began in 2011 as a simple idea between friends—a safe, inclusive space where loyal Thomians could come together and enjoy the madness of the Battle of the Blues.
From day one, Lavos was different. While others followed tradition, we chose a name rooted in Thomian nostalgia—one that stood for friendship, memories, and not taking ourselves too seriously. What started as a small gathering quickly grew into one of the most vibrant enclosures at the match, known for great music, good vibes, and respect for the game and everyone around us.
Lavos has never been about profit. It has always been personally funded, all-inclusive, and built for our people—so members can simply walk in, feel at home, and enjoy the match without worry.
Today, carried forward by Thomians across multiple batches, Lavos continues to sell out year after year. Loud, loyal, slightly chaotic—but always Thomian.
Lavos lives on. ❤️

Only Thomian supporters are eligible to purchase tickets for the Lavos Enclosure 😉

When and where is the match played?
The match is traditionally played over three days in March at either Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC), Colombo
Is the Royal–Thomian Encounter only about cricket?
Not at all! While cricket is at the heart of it, the encounter is also about tradition, camaraderie, music, tents, food, banter, and lifelong friendships. For many, it’s as much a social reunion as it is a sporting event.
Who can attend the Royal–Thomian Encounter?
The match is open to old boys, current students, families, and invited guests of both schools. Different enclosures may have their own entry rules—so always check before turning up in the wrong colours 😉
